Our Story
We are a multidisciplinary creative studio based in Vancouver, British Columbia. Our practice occupies a space between floral art and set design.
We love questioning the conventional idea of a flower’s natural form, turning them inside out and often quite literally, upside down.
Our work is colour focused, playful and meticulously considered. Each arrangement is an immersive world of its own, juxtaposing play and control.
La Bomba Floristry was founded in 2018 by Marta Sanderson. We opened our flagship store in Vancouver’s Chinatown neighbourhood in May, 2022. We are equal parts floral studio and retail space, offering sculptural arrangements and curated objects.
Prior to opening the store, La Bomba was an established private floral studio within the creative landscape of the city. Owner Marta Sanderson has an eye for art direction, one that translates in her editorial and styling work for some of Vancouver’s biggest brands. Marta and her team approach each project, including weddings, events and installations, as an opportunity to conceptualize and deliver a one-of-a-kind experience.
